condividi.prodotto

Calm Mg is a liquid complementary feed providing horses with highly bioavailable magnesium sources.
It can be particularly useful in young horses struggling to face their first competitions, especially indoor ones, properly, and in anxious adult horses that are hard to manage because of low magnesium levels in their blood.
Magnesium is involved in more than 300 different metabolic reactions and is, therefore, incredibly important in the nutritional world (45).
Energy production in cells, nucleic acids synthesis, muscular contraction and nerve conduction depend on magnesium.
Nevertheless, in nature not all magnesium salts are equally bioavailable for the body.
That is why Unika chose three very high bioavailable magnesium sources: magnesium citrate, magnesium aspartate and magnesium chloride.
These salts are completely water-soluble and, therefore, are more easily absorbed by the body than low-soluble or insoluble salts, such as magnesium oxide. In fact, magnesium is absorbed by the small and large intestines: its absorption efficiency depends, therefore, on the solubility of magnesium salts in the intestinal fluids.
Studies show that, in humans, magnesium has neuroprotective properties (45) and is involved in the production of ATP, the body’s energy fuel.
Therefore, it can be affirmed that magnesium also has an energizing effect.

Instructions for use

Properly mix 50-100 g of Calm Mg per day with the daily ration (a little disposable coffee cup’s capacity is about 70 g).
It has a syrup texture and is highly appetizing for horses.
It is suggested to use Calm Mg for at least 30/40 consecutive days.
It is suggested not to exceed the recommended daily amount, for magnesium is mildly laxative.
(Since each horse’s body has its own peculiarities feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in its diet gradually).
