Rein Attachment Options and Effect
When the horse applies strong forward pressure on both reins, the bit acts like a bar. As soon as the horse or rider relaxes (on one side), the bit acts like a double-jointed snaffle bit.
Attaching the bridle to the upper small ring and the rein to the large ring creates a slight leverage effect on the poll.
Attaching the bridle to the upper small ring and the rein to the lower small ring creates a slight leverage effect on the mouth and poll.

With normal contact with the reins and as soon as the rider or the horse relaxes, the bit becomes flexible again and can be used like a regular snaffle bit. This allows for precise yet mouth-friendly aids when needed. Thanks to the effect of the Easy Control bit, horses often learn to hold back on their own as soon as the bar effect kicks in. Therefore, Easy Control bits should be used for training purposes for short periods, with regular checks to see if the desired learning effect has been achieved.
